INA, IL (March 21, 2022) – Postseason awards have been announced, and four Lady Warriors have been recognized for their outstanding efforts this season - Megan Barton, Niya Danfort, Megan Hallemann, and Dais'Ja Trotter.
Trotter (Louisville, KY) was named the Great Rivers Athletic Conference and the NJCAA Region XXIV Player of the Year.
The Lady Warriors (11-2, 23-7 in GRAC) battled hard in the postseason but ultimately fell short of the Midwest District Finals championship, losing 70-56 to Wabash Valley.
Trotter finished finished her career at Rend Lake as the leading scorer in the nation, averaging 24.4 points per game. She was also ranked number one in total points (733) and field goals (258/548). She will continue her basketball career as a member of the Women's Basketball Team at Cincinnati University.
