INA, Ill. (February 19, 2026) — The Lady Warriors Softball team has a lot of excitement around them for the 2026 season as they brought in a new Head Coach Chad Todaro. The preseason has been long, but productive, and the team is ready to get on the field for their first games vs. Dyersburg State on February 21st. The Warriors finished the 2025 season at 22-28 (19-19 in conference) and are looking to expand on that season with a strong group of sophomores and exciting new freshmen!
The Warriors return their three most productive hitters from last season: Emma Boyer (64 Hits, .398 AVG., and 46 Runs), Natalie Feather (61 Hits, .427 AVG, and a team leading 9 HRs and 51 RBIs), and Taylor Ash (49 Hits, .386 AVG., and the only player with more walks than Ks - 12:9). Rounding out some of the sophomore returners are Carsyn Clark (.330 Avg.) and Julianna Huber (.300 Avg.). Feather also logged 101.2 innings on the mound next year and is expected to increase her role and lead the team again.
“I’m really excited about our team and ready to coach them up,” remarked Todaro. “I know that the girls are ready to fight through adversity and we will be leaning on our sophomore class to get us where we want to be.”
The Lady Warriors will have a lot of new freshman faces under the Todaro regime and they are expected to play a fast and fun brand of softball. The girls have been intense in the weightroom and on the field, and are chomping at the bit to get their first games underway. An intense schedule in the always tough GRAC conference looms in March, but the Lady Warriors are ready for the challenge!
