Chase Cole from Z-R Verbally Commits to Rend Lake College Men's Golf Team for Fall 2025

INA, Ill. (Aug. 15, 2024) – Rend Lake College is thrilled to announce that Chase Cole, a standout golfer from Zeigler-Royalton High School, has verbally committed to join the RLC Men's Golf team for the Fall 2025 season. This commitment underscores the Warriors' continued dedication to building rosters on exceptional talent right from its own backyard. Z-R is one of 13 high schools in RLC District 521. 

RLC Head Men's Golf Coach Corey Phillips expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "I'm excited to add another local talent to our Fall 2025 roster. Chase has a lot of athletic ability and a lot of upside in this game. I look forward to following his senior season at ZRC and I wish him well. I'm glad to know he will soon be a Warrior."

"I am very thankful for this opportunity Coach Phillips has given me to continue my academic and athletic career," Cole said. "I cannot thank my family, coaches, and everyone who has helped me along the way enough. I cannot wait to get on campus next year and get started with the team. Go Warriors!"

While this is a verbal commitment, Cole is expected to officially ink his national letter of intent when the signing period opens Nov. 1.

Cole joins another standout from the RLC district — Pinckneyville's Landon Travelstead — as 2025 commits. They'll both be pivotal additions to the program that historically boasts strong local talent on its rosters.
