INA, Ill. (April 8, 2025) — The Warriors held on to beat Wabash Valley to push their win streak to nine games. After a slow start to the season the Warriors have gotten hot in conference play, winning the past nine games. The streak started with a big win over Frontier and continued with a three-game sweep of Shawnee. The hot streak continued with a series clinching win over Frontier and another three-game sweep of Olney. The win over Wabash, 4-3, brings the streak to nine games going into the doubleheader at Wabash.
“We got off to a tough start, but our guys stayed the course and finally started to win those close games that we were losing early," said head coach Chris Moddelmog. "It all starts with good pitching, defense and some timely hitting."
The Warriors are currently 12-7 in the GRAC, 17-18 overall and have won 11 of the past 14 games in the league. The 30 game conference schedule ends on May 2 and the Warriors hope to make some noise in the Region tournament that follows.
